Easily register document files by drag-and-drop operation

Document files created using applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint can be converted to PDF files and registered in PageScope Workware by simply dragging and dropping them into a document folder.


Easy searching for registered documents and quick display of target documents

PageScope Workware has two search functions: Advanced Search and Easy Search. Each one lets you customise the search parameters. You can search documents based on text, bookmarks and annotations in PDF files, as well as document information such as filename, date of update and title — all in a single search operation. You can also use multiple keywords and the AND/OR operative for refined searches.


Double-clicking on a search result opens Acrobat and keywords are highlighted on the displayed page.

Automatic registration of scanned images and files in a target folder with a folder monitoring function

PageScope Workware monitors a target folder in set intervals. When it detects newly saved data, it converts the data to PDF and automatically registers it in a destination folder. Correction functions for scanned images can also be added.


Smooth document handling thanks to secure updating of original documents

When a large number of corrections are made on multiple document pages, the original document must be edited. PageScope Workware displays the original document and allows editing. The PDF file of an edited document can also be updated. Since PageScope Workware manages original documents and PDF files as pairs, their consistency is always maintained for reliable, trouble-free document use.

Storage of image files in Compact PDF format

When image files are converted to PDF, they are saved in the Compact PDF format. PageScope Workware distinguishes between text, photo and graphic areas, then applies the most suitable compression ratio to each area. Since this compresses data effectively, file sizes are reduced to 1/3 to 1/5 to minimise the data stored on the hard disk.


Efficient sharing of documents through the network

In addition to being a personal document management tool, PageScope Workware functions as a workgroup's shared document database by using the Windows file sharing function. It promotes effective sharing and browsing of information such as business plans and estimates.

Built-in OCR function extracts text from scanned data

Text data extracted by the OCR function is saved in separate files and can be used for full-text searches. Extracted text can also be pasted into another document. When this function is used together with the launcher, RTF files can be simultaneously output for easy data management and use.


Output pages in multiple formats to meet all your needs

PageScope Workware can output a specified page in a registered document as a BMP image file. It can also output text data in a registered document in a text file. Text data in a registered document can be copied to a clipboard and pasted into proposal documents, business plans and other documents. PageScope Workware's output function can produce files of individual pages and also multiple pages. And, it can output a list of document information in CSV format.

Linked applications for maximum use of information assets

PDF files of documents registered in PageScope Workware can be directly registered in or transferred to another document management or information sharing application. This enables smooth and efficient utilisation of documents as information assets. Documents in PDF text form can also be searched by other search applications.
