Finding it difficult to monitor printer usage and concerned about misappropriation of output documents, Bridgestone (China) Investment Co., Ltd chose an IC card based authenticated printing by Konica Minolta to improve their overall OA equipment, resulting in a fundamental improvement and increased productivity, also reducing the output volume by making usage statistics visible with the aggregating software. Bridgestone was further able to reduce administrative costs and increase the efficiency of the OA environment.

Issues: OA equipment usage conditions were only vaguely understood; Paper wastage due to large volume of unnecessary output documents; Number of OA equipments needed to be reduced without inpactig on efficiency

Solutions: TCO reduced by aggregating and analyzing individual usage conditions; IC card based authenticated printing prevented paper wastage and misappropriation of output documents; IC card use enabled consolidated output retrieval and improved work efficiency
