Eggerdruck is a traditional offset printing company of medium size located in Tyrol and managed by the joint owners, brothers Thomas and Elmar Egger. Their services include layout and pre-press work, offset, book and digital printing, and hot foil stamping. Additionally, Eggerdruck specialises in the production of paper targets. The Tyrolean company is one of only four manufacturers certified world-wide as official suppliers by the International Shooting Sport Federation. Wanting to increase their digital printing services and promote them as the flexible alternative to offset printing, the Eggerdruck owners became aware of Konica Minolta as a competent supplier of digital production machines. The brothers accepted an invitation to an open house event introducing the bizhub PRO C6500e and, seeing Konica Minolta's colour digital press perform, the brothers were impressed. In-depth testing of various media types and paper qualities was arranged next—and it did not need any more to convince Thomas and Elmar Egger that they had found the perfect digital colour production machine.
