Konica Minolta’s Product Design

Konica Minolta office devices and digital production print systems continue to receive awards for outstanding design and quality. Our globally recognised bizhub series, in particular, with its distinctive black design has overwhelmed the industry by overturning the accepted notion that “office products are white.”
Since the launch of the bizhub C550 in 2007, Konica Minolta has held the consistent concept in actively pursuing to explore new designs that can harmonise with various office environments in the field of digital MFPs. At the same time, they have undergone further upgrades for easier accessibility and operability as office information devices, such as the 360-degree design and large color LCD panel that can adjust tilt angles both upward/downward and to right and left. Our stance to continually provide superior usability has helped the bizhub MFPs receive Japan’s prestigious Good Design Awards for 4 consecutive years.
This year’s Good Design Award 2010 in particular is worth noting, as the bizhub 423/363/283/223 black & white MFPs were honoured with the Good Design Gold Award, one of the most outstanding awards out of over 3,000 entries. Konica Minolta is extremely delighted to accept the Good Design Gold Award for the first time with high remarks not only for the strength of unique design but also for the company’s continued posture to develop high-quality designs and software features such as the intuitive user interface (UI).
Good Design Awards were also awarded to 9 more Konica Minolta products from laser printers to production print systems, making 2010 a banner year for the company.
