A feature since the bizhub 750/600, Non-Image Area Erase stops the background of the original from turning
black when a copy or scan is made with the original cover open.
Users will not be able to replace B/W machines with colour machines if colour machines do not support the same functions as B/W machines.
The most conspicuous example of this is the Watermark feature. The Watermark feature is used frequently in the office workflow. Previous models supported this function only in Print mode, however the C652/C552/C452/C652DS now support it in Copy mode as well.

Point 3 - Documents stored in a User Box can be registered as overlay images
*The first page of the document will be registered.
*Only possible from the User Box screen on the MFP.
*Images may only be registered from the following System Boxes for which print settings may be changed: Annotation User Box, Secure Print User Box and Proof Print Box (Release Held Job screen for Proof Copy/Print).
*Only documents that have been saved using Scan to HDD, Copy to HDD or Print to HDD (PCL only) can be registered as overlay images.
Point 4 - Colour preview/thumbnail display for registered overlays
On previous models only the registered name for each overlay was displayed, but the C652/C552/C452/C652DS display thumbnails for registered overlays as well, so that overlay images can be checked before selection.
They can also display individual preview images (enlarged/reduced display possible).
*Productivity will be reduced when making colour overlays.
